Alenia Aeronautica has been designing, building, maintaining and modifying aircraft since 1917. From trainer aircraft to light attack to cargo transport and maritime patrol and boarder surveillance, the aircraft that Alenia has designed and developed are in service around the globe.

The F-35:
Alenia Aeronautica is known for being an industry leader in civil and military aircraft design and production. In addition to producing the C-27J at its facility in Turin, Alenia Aeronautica participates in the F-35 design and will be a “second source” supplier of the wing box. An F-35 final assembly and checkout facility (FACO) is being constructed at Cameri Air Base (Novara, Piedmont).
MRO:
Alenia North America also has a long relationship working with the U.S. Government and others in the industry in the After Market, Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul business. Alenia has expertise in performing depot level services, providing after market support, and providing contractor logistics support services. Alenia’s experience on the civilian side includes refurbishment, modification and maintenance of the MD-10 and MD-11, freighter conversion of the B-767, and maintenance, refurbishment and cargo conversion of the ATR 42 and ATR 72. Military experience in this area includes depot level maintenance for both the C-130H and E-3A, aircraft modifications to the ATR 42, and maintenance support on the KC-767.
